Details:
Gloria lived in a house with her daughter, two grandsons, and her son-in-law. Her daughter Alma had been having marital problems, and separation was being talked about; Alma had signed over their house to her own daughter, angering her husband.

One afternoon, Gloria’s son-in-law went out rather than staying home with Gloria, who needed a caregiver. Gloria’s son-in-law became angry and allegedly shot Alma, Gloria, and her grandson Fernando fatally. A second grandson, age 44, survived gunshot wounds to the head and chest. Police say that Gloria’s son-in-law confessed to the crimes.

Gloria was a family matriarch who left a legacy of “kindness, resilience, and deep love.” Her family remembers her for her “comforting words, her home-cooked meals, [and] her unwavering support.”

Patrick Waite (Son-in-law), charged with three counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.
