Tejaswini

Details:
Tejaswini’s mother claimed that a robber had tried to steal her gold necklace, and that when she refused, the robber had thrown the baby into a water sump. Neighbors rushed the child to the hospital, but she was dead on arrival. Police, who checked CCTV camera footage, say that there was never a robber, and Tejaswini’s mother threw the baby into the sump herself because she was frustrated that Tejaswini’s disability was not being cured, and tired of the financial burden of caring for her. At the police station, Tejaswini’s mother allegedly confessed to killing her.

Details:
Chase’s body was found in a freezer. His mother, who had a history with child protective services, was arrested on suspicion of having caused his death. Relatives, who called Chase “the sweetest”, said they had offered to take Chase off his mother’s hands if she couldn’t deal with his disabilities, but had been rebuffed.

This girl, two months short of three years old, died weighing 9 pounds, with no food in her stomach. Although the girl’s doctors were worried about both cystic fibrosis and muscular dystrophy at her six-month checkup, her parents allegedly did not take her to the doctor until they found her dead.

Details:
Braelyn’ was found dead by paramedics called to her parents’ home, where Braelyn’ and her siblings had been living in poor conditions. Braelyn’ had not been getting treatment for her cystic fibrosis; without treatment, she had been found unconscious on the floor and could not be revived. The family was known to children’s services, and had received instructions on how to properly care for Braelyn’.

Braelyn’ liked to play with her siblings and watch Cocomelon and Super Jojo, and her favorite foods were pizza and Starbucks. Her cousin was her best friend; she loved her two kittens, Yoda and Lucy.

This 5-month-old girl was left alone at home by her mother for two days with no one to care for her, even though her heart defect meant it was extremely important to keep her fed and give her medicine. When her mother returned, the baby girl had died from kidney failure.

Harrison Louden

Name: Harrison Louden.

Details:
Harrison was suspected to have autism, and his parents were negotiating the health care system to get him services. Because they were at home due to the Covid-19 lockdowns, appointments were sometimes postponed and often had to be done remotely.

Harrison’s father, who left a letter saying he believed Covid had ruined Harrison’s chances of ever getting proper support, suffocated Harrison with helium gas and then killed himself.

Details:
Harvey was home with his stepmother when she called emergency services, saying he had fallen backward and hit his head. He was taken to the hospital, but the injury proved fatal two days later. Only weeks before his death, Harvey had suffered a broken arm while in the care of his stepmother.
