Details:
Eliana left her home and was killed when she tried to cross a highway and was hit by a car. Police believe her father, fully aware of the danger to Eliana, deliberately took no precautions to prevent the accident.

Details:
Titus’s stepmother beat him so badly that he died from a brain bleed. She tried to claim the injuries were self-inflicted, but the autopsy report disagreed with her claims.

Kaleb Bogan

Details:
Paramedics were called to Kaleb’s home, where he was unresponsive. They performed CPR but were unable to revive him, and he was pronounced dead at the hospital, where doctors reported that Kaleb’s body was covered in scars and burns. His mother was arrested.

Jessie Pickle

Name: Jessie Pickle.

Details:
Jessie died from an untreated infection while in the care of his stepmother. Videos provided to the police by his father, who spent long periods away at work and monitored his children with video cameras, show Jessie’s stepmother responding to his obvious illness by locking him in his room for the night; in the morning, she found Jessie dead.

12-year-old boy

Died: December 21, 2022.

Details:
This twelve-year-old, an indigenous boy, was in foster care along with his younger brother. When he was seven and his brother was five, they were sent to stay with prospective adoptive parents. There, they were allegedly mistreated, isolated and denied food and medical care, and the older boy spent most of his time locked into his basement bedroom. When first responders arrived, they found the boy unresponsive and only about the size of a six-year-old. His brother, who survived, is expected to testify about the restraints and abuse the two boys were subjected to.

Case Status:
Brandy Cooney (Adoptive mother) is charged with first-degree murder, forcible confinement, assault with a weapon and, and failure to provide the necessities of life.

Details:
This six-year-old was allegedly beaten to death by her mother’s boyfriend. Her body was found a few weeks later, stuffed into a sack and hidden in some bushes.

Details:
This 4-year-old girl was taken to the hospital, dead on arrival. A doctor called the police, who suspect the girl’s mother of severely beating her when she woke her mother up asking for food.

Milagros Martin

Details:
Milagros’s body was found encased in concrete, in a box her mother had been using as a nightstand. Her mother was arrested. An autopsy determined that Milagros had died from a respiratory infection, and police suspect that it was lack of proper care that caused her death.
