Irene Carter

Details:
Irene loved gardening and kept an immaculate yard.

When Irene had a psychotic episode, her daughter took over power of attorney and gradually took away her freedom, selling her cars and taking her bank cards. When her daughter remortgaged her house and Irene protested, her daughter stabbed her, slammed her head against the floor, and threw her down the stairs, killing her.

Anne Schmidt

Details:
Police had been called to Anne Schmidt’s home because of a domestic disturbance. When they got there, they found that her son had poured gasoline all over the living room; and when an officer approached, Anne’s son ignited the gasoline. Anne was in a wheelchair and unable to escape the flames; she and her son both died. The police officer who had tried to help her was badly burned, but recovered.

Jagtar Gill

Details:
Jagtar was an immigrant from India to Canada, and she had met her husband as part of an arranged marriage.

But Jagtar’s husband had fallen in love with another woman; so the two conspired to get rid of Jagtar.

They saw their chance when Jagtar had just returned from hernia surgery and was weak and drugged from painkillers; this made her very vulnerable. So while her husband went to run errands with their daughter to establish an alibi, his girlfriend beat and stabbed Jagtar to death.

John Clark

Details:
Through his entire life, John’s parents never took him to the doctor, even though he was very small for his age and had obvious developmental delays. They also fed him an extreme diet that did not include all the nutrients he needed. When he was 14 months old, he died from malnutrition and a staph infection that overwhelmed his weakened body.

She was a bright student whose friends remember her smile fondly; she was always smiling. She liked fashion, pop culture, and boys.
